Co-founder and Co-Director of the Gestalt Centre Belfast with Bríd Keenan, I have worked since 1998 as a Gestalt therapist, a clinical supervisor, trainer, and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, an approach which has enriched my Gestalt practice. A big influence was Seán Gaffney, my supervisor 1998-2022. With a background in education, politics and trade union, I am passionate about collective learning and the link between health and social justice.

My interest in psychotherapy is is as a psychosocial activist. My Gestalt practice includes psychotherapy, supervision, training and OD -Seán Gaffney since 1995. Advanced trainings are (Somatic Experiencing – P. Levine), Developmental trauma (Neuroaffective relational approach -Master Practitioner – Larry Heller) Therapeutic Touch for Psychotherapists (Kathy Kain). I established IRELAND SE CIC (2012) to provide SE training. My Gestalt practice integrates this somatic approach.

Marie is a senior accredited Gestalt therapist and supervisor. She has worked at individual, couple, group and organisational level for over 25 years. She is particularly interested in how discrimination and inequality impacts on our emotional and mental health. She has worked widely with human rights organisations to support them in their work.
Marie has also contributed to GCB's therapeutic and supervision training.

I work from a humanistic model, and draw on a number of approaches aiming to provide the best fit for client and counsellor- my main frame of reference is the Gestalt approach.

I am trained integratively, include somatic work into my practice and have completed a Certificate in Gestalt Supervision.

I believe counselling can help us lead a fuller life and increase self awareness and self acceptance.

I have a Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy from the Irish Gestalt Centre and have been working as a Gestalt Therapist for over 10 years. I have integrated a further training in Somatic Experiencing with this approach. I am also a clinical supervisor.

I work with individuals and couples currently in both private practice and within a Health Trust setting.

Mairead Flynn is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Gestalt Practitioner and Stress Management Therapist; she teaches Yoga, Mindfulness and Sacred Dance. Grounded in decades of training and practice in body/mind approaches, Mairead’s work is informed by latest developments in neuroscience, interpersonal neurobiology and polyvagal theory.
Based in Co. Monaghan Mairead is a Community Education Tutor for Cavan and Monaghan ETB and works privately with groups and individuals.

I'm a fully accredited psychotherapist working extensively in person and online with adults of all ages and from diverse, multicultural backgrounds. My approach focuses on the exploration of the human narrative in the meaning making process, and the importance of applying neuroscience to therapy.

I qualified as an Integrative Counsellor in 2012 and followed this with advanced training as a Gestalt Practitioner and also as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. My work is split Between Nexus (NI),Suicide Awareness and private practice, working with a wide variety of people with an even wider variety of struggles.

Bronagh is a senior trainee Gestalt therapist, currently a fifth year student on the MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute, London. Her background is in education and she holds an MEd in Guidance & Counselling (1997) and a Gestalt Practitioner Diploma from Gestalt Centre Belfast (2018). She has a private practice and is offering reduced-cost psychotherapy while still in training. She is a student member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Deirdre is a Gestalt psychotherapist and mindfulness trainer with many years experience in delivering services in Dublin and Down.
She is an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and The Mindfulness Teachers Association of Ireland. She is currently completing her training as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).
She loves Gestalt therapy's emphasis on authentic relationship, mind and body connection and our innate growth potential.

Ian qualified as a graduate psychologist in 2012 and has worked as an Integrative counsellor since 2015. Ian completed the Gestalt Practitioner training with GCB in 2018, enhancing his understanding of working with people and groups. Ian has also been studying somatic approaches to psychotherapy including Somatic Experiencing® (SEP) and NARM™ (Therapist). The focus of Ian’s work is supporting adults who are experiencing a variety of “problems in living”.

I qualified in 2012 with an advanced diploma in therapeutic counselling, adding a diploma in Gestalt Therapy in 2018. I have a back ground working in the field of domestic violence. Currently I am employed by the NSPCC (13 years) working as a supervisor and trainer. I spent seven years volunteering with a local community counselling organisation working with a wide range of people and issues.
